About Brady Minear

Brady Minear has had a high interest in agriculture since a young age. He grew up on and continues to help operate and manage his family's row crop and cattle operation in Putnam County, Missouri. Brady has many fond memories of deer and turkey hunting and fishing on the family farm.

Brady graduated from the University of Missouri in 2013 with a bachelor's degree in Agricultural Economics and Agricultural Systems Management. He then earned a master's degree in Agricultural Economics in 2015, also from the University of Missouri. During his time as an undergraduate and graduate, Brady worked as a research intern for the Food and Agricultural Policy Research Institute. FAPRI is known for using economic models of key commodity markets to estimate how different policy options affect prices and quantities, producers, consumers, and government costs. Brady worked on different projects during this time such as using futures options to take advantage of high volatility in grain and livestock markets and developing an economic model for the US fertilizer market. The methods and knowledge learned during his time at the University of Missouri allowed him to easily transition to analyzing the agricultural land market.

In 2020, Brady completed his General Appraiser Certification after taking the majority of the required courses with the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers. ASFMRA is the leading provider for agricultural appraiser education. Brady has been working as an appraiser since 2015 and specializes in agricultural land, improved agricultural land including grain storage facilities and swine confinement operations, and recreational properties.
